For this reason, I recommend the vertical mode, that makes Blades feel less like Skyrim plus more like the close-quarters dungeon crawls in the past — a unique update with the genre to convey the least.
The vertical mode calls to mind the gobs of grindy games that produce mobile gaming both addictive and wonderful, and awful and weird.
